Open the tofu and dry out with a tea towel or kitchen paper. Cut in half so the block is half the thickness, then cut out round shapes in the tofu with a pastry cutter.
To make the batter mix soya milk, plain flour, sun dried tomato paste, salt, pepper and paprika in a jug and mix well. If it is too thin add more flour if its too thick add more milk.
Once the mixture is the right texture dip in each tofu shape into the batter and place in a frying pan of hot oil. Fry until the first side is crispy and brown then turn.
These are great served with salad as a starter. |
