RECIPES - SAUCES AND DIPS - Bechamel Sauce

Recipes for Vegans - Bechamel Sauce

Ingredients

vegetable oil
plain white flour
200ml vegetable stock
50ml soya milk

 


Put the saucepan on a low heat. Add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan (you can also use margarine). Add flour in small quantities until it is a thick consistancy. Add the stock slowly stiring all the time to stop it getting lumpy. Then add the milk. Continue to stir until the ingredients are fully blended. Serve straight away or else it will thicken in the pan.
