RECIPES - BAKING - Jam Turnover

Ingredients

leftover pastry
jam

 


This is a great way to use up your leftover pastry, it can work with short or puff pastry.

Just flatten it out into a rough circle. Spoon some jam into one side leaving a 1cm rim around the edge. Fold the empty side over the top of the side with jam on and press along the edges. Bake in the oven on a greased baking dish for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Can also be filled with stewed fruit.

Can be eaten still warm or served later covered in custard.
